Immerse yourself in waterfall hiking in one of the most unique geologic formations in Oregon! Over the course of the three hours we are in the canyon, we will discovering South Falls' stunning amphitheater and history as the centerpiece of a failed attempt to become Oregon's first National Park. From here we will descend into the up-and-down trails that make up the gorgeous canyon, encountering century-plus-old trees, wildflowers in season, mosses, lichens, and mushrooms and a variety of fantastic rock formations. We will experience up-close encounters with some of the state's most unusual and impressive waterfall formations. On this hiking experience we will explore 4-6 waterfalls and enjoy snacks with the option to purchase a light breakfast or lunch from the cafe. Our hike will be between three and eight miles (5 - 13 km) depending on group energy and desire.

It features waterfalls, mountains, monoliths, terraces, resort towns, vineyards, orchards, and The River, harboring a plethora of fish and birds, and unique plants and invertebrates. In the early 1900s, Portlanders would drive their Model T cars along the Columbia River Highway to gaze at waterfalls. It was the first scenic highway built in America. There is said to be over 4000 waterfalls; many are hidden away, but many are just a short hike off the Historic Highway. On this tour you'll explore the western, rainforested, southern side of the Gorge, dubbed "waterfall alley" where we'll have you getting wet under a waterfall, peering over cliffs, and learning stories of the area only the locals know.

When tour guests asks us, "what one thing should I not miss in Portland," we pick the 5-mile (8-9 km) hike in Forest Park. No matter what the season, hiking in the park is entering another world right on the borders, and through the fabric, of the city. We offer two daily departures, both with varied terrain and about 900 ft elevation gain. The classic hike is focused around a Northwest Portland experience, and ends at the International Rose Test Garden, the Forest Park Experience (9 a.m. to noon). We have limited 1:30 p.m. departures. We occasionally offer an afternoon hike that starts at Goose Hollow, weaves through the neighborhoods and up into the park, the Goose Hollow to the Forest (2:30 to 6:30 p.m.). Both pass iconic spots; Japanese Garden, Pittock Mansion, and Witch's Castle; but take a different approach to the forest. In Forest Park—within minutes leaving the street—you can forget, or wonder at the fact that you are still in a city.

Travel to Mount Saint Helens and environs, from Portland, on this ALL-INCLUSIVE tour with a guide who will discuss the geology, ecology, climate, history, and legends of the area, as well as the history of US public lands. Your guide will lead you on hikes near waterfalls, through lava tubes, and within oldgrowth forests. You will see some of the most unique geological features in North America, including North America's longest continuous lava tube and a lava tree mold forest. Our Scenic Float on the Rogue River is a scenic, casual, relaxing affair. There are small class I & II riffles and rapids along the way. The Rogue River Scenic Float is where we use our large, comfortable, excursion rafts with padded seats and backrests on this mellow but beautiful and secluded piece of the famous Rogue River. We take our lunch at The Discovery Park. This park is a boat-in only park on the Rogue River and will be a favorite for families! You will have the option to purchase lunch/snacks, beverage of your choice, and play in the private park. Food options to accommodate everyone's taste; Vegan & GF to meat lovers will be available from The Discovery Park food truck. Snack foods, ice cream and a large assortment of non-alcoholic & alcoholic options are available!

Enjoy a bike ride in the morning (bicycle provided) and relax with lunch and wine tasting in the afternoon. Greet the morning with scenic forest views on Oregon’s first state trail: a converted railway line with a 700 foot long trestle. Ride through sun-dappled glades and across swift, clear streams. After the ride we head to the wineries in the comfort of a luxury 7 passenger SUV. Spend the afternoon enjoying some of the world’s best Pinot Noir. We visit and enjoy tastings (tasting fee included) at two wineries bounded by the Chehalem Mountains to the north and the Red Hills of Dundee to the south. A gourmet picnic lunch is provided with items that pair well with the wine while you take in the magnificent views at the vineyards.
