2 Days Mikumi and Udzungwa falls National Parks from Ifakara Tanzania

Udzungwa Mountain National Park, which is 1990 square kilometers, is the first terrestrial national park in Tanzania. It is well known for its biologically diverse forest with approximately 20 - 30%  out of 200  animals and plant species that grow here not found anywhere in the world. Still, it is a really beautiful place for hiking.

Our guide will meet you at Ifakara, read to start the tour to Udzungwa national park which is a 1-hour drive from Ifakara. We will arrive at the entrance gate to collect the entrance permit together and the park ranger. We will start hiking to Sanje waterfalls that on the way we will have a chance to see black and white colobus monkeys, Iringa red-colobus monkey which is endemic you can only find them in Udzungwa forest. Swimming at the waterfalls and the stunning view of Kilombero valley from above makes this tour beautiful. The day concludes with camping on top of the mountain ( all camping gears will be provided).

While driving to Mikumi national park enjoy the countryside and your guide will give you a lot of information about the country and the culture, you will be picked up from your Hotel 5 am and this ride will take about 7 hrs, on your arrival you will check-in and go for a sunset safari. Expect to see a lot of animals and beautiful landscapes, Mikumi is rich in buffaloes, lions, elephants, giraffes, crocs, zebra, hippos and more to mention. Enjoy the sunset just next to the hippo dam and then drive to your camp for hot dinner and overnight inside the park
