Built in 1881, this Georgian-style mansion tells a tale of resilience, prosperity, and the multicultural fabric of Jamaica1. It was the architectural dream of Jamaica’s first black millionaire, George Stiebel, who gained his wealth from gold mining in South America.

Emancipation Park is a rare jewel nestled in the heart of Kingston, Jamaica. This seven-acre oasis offers solace and a soothing ambiance away from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Lush tropical plants and flowers adorn the landscape, symbolizing the legendary beauty of the island. At the south-east entrance stands an 11-foot bronze statue titled “Redemption Song,” depicting a black man and woman gazing toward the sky.
