These extraordinary monuments were constructed during Egypt's Fourth Dynasty in the Old Kingdom, between 2600 and 2500 BCE. In addition to these architectural marvels, the site includes various temples, cemeteries, and the remnants of a settlement where the workers once lived.

The Great Sphinx of Giza, an iconic limestone statue with the body of a lion and the head of a pharaoh, is one of the most renowned landmarks in Egypt. Located within the Giza Necropolis, it stands near the Great Pyramids and dates back to around 2500 BCE, during the reign of Pharaoh Khafre. The Sphinx measures 73 meters (240 feet) long and 20 meters (66 feet) high, making it the largest monolithic statue in the world. A 30-minute visit allows you to marvel at its grandeur, explore the surrounding area, and capture stunning photos of this ancient symbol of strength and wisdom against the backdrop of the pyramids.
