Our tour begins at Kiyosumi Gardens, a small piece of art in this corner of Tokyo with its Japanese gardens, with little bridges over the ponds and pine trees styled in the typical "ball" pruning. We will then move towards the Monzen-Nakachō district, an authentic fragment of shitamachi grafted into what remains of an ancient network of canals. The Fukagawa Fudō Temple and the Tomioka Hachjimangū Shrine are two destinations that you shouldn't miss. We will then move with Tokyo's convenient public bus service towards the Toyosu district, crossing the Sumida river delta admiring futuristic skyscrapers around us.
