We will take you to the Western part of Madeira passing thru deep valleys, taking you up to 1500 meters high. You will get information and history about the views, native forest, fauna flora, meet the madeiran water aqueducts "levadas" and learn more about them.
Please bring some comfortable shoes as we may have a 15 minutes walk to learn more about the "levadas". We will pass the Madeira plateau, the only flat area in this island, and then drive to Porto Moniz where you will visit the vulcanic lava pools. If the weather slows, you can swim at the volcanic polls. The lunch is optional, and has a cost of €12.00 per person for a 3 meal course with beverage and coffee. This 2 day full east and west + 1 half day Curral das Freiras tours package gives you an overview of the island at an affordable price. This package starts at different days and different times. In advance you will be contacted to schedule the package with you. Pickups will be made at hotels located in Funchal and Caniço at no extra cost. It is possible that minor delays may occur due to traffic. During the excursions the driver gives historical and cultural information of the places to visit, making some short stops on the way for the visitor to be able to contemplate the beautiful sights and monuments taking some pictures.
Meals are not included in the price, but we make a 90-minute midday stop for lunch.
We're back at the hotel at 16:30 / 17:00
